Dr. Dersh offers a full service general dentistry practice in Westfield, New Jersey. An initial check-up consists of a dental examination, clinical exam of teeth and gums, dental charting of the patient’s mouth, and a check for decay. Diagnostic X-Rays are used when necessary, and an oral cancer screening is performed in additional to an evaluation for gum disease and any periodontal concerns. The check-up ends with professional dental cleaning and polishing of the teeth. As always, Dr. Dersh and his staff are happy to answer any questions patients may have.
He has been in practice for 28 years, and, in addition to general dentistry, specializes in all aspects of cosmetic and restorative dentistry, including tooth colored fillings, crowns, bridges, veneers, tooth whitening/bleaching, implant retained crowns, full and partial dentures, and full mouth rehabilitation.
Office hours are geared towards commuters, and include Saturdays. Special, non-traditional hours appointments may be made by agreement between the patient and Dr. Dersh. The office is handicapped accessible, and an extra level of service includes home care for the home bound by special arrangement.
Dr. Dersh has been a resident of Westfield since boyhood, and is on the Attending Staffs of Overlook Hospital and Robert Wood University Hospital – Rahway. He is a past president of the Central Dental Society. He was graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Albright College, and The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
He is nationally and internationally known through his election to Fellowship in the International College of Dentists and has presented topics to dental professionals locally, nationally, and internationally.
